Rory has been in professional practice since 2014 and studying Chinese medicine since 2009. A life long student of the human condition, he has a degree in anthropology (focusing on traditional medicine) and classical studies.

Rory has been in professional practice since 2014 and studying Chinese medicine since 2009. A life long student of the human condition, he has a degree in anthropology (focusing on traditional medicine) and classical studies.
He has been a faculty member of Pacific Rim College since 2016 having taught subjects as diverse as Sports Acupuncture, Classical Five Element theory, Anatomy, and Taiji Quan. He has been a prolific clinical supervisor for budding new practitioners, and from 2017 to 2021 served as Dean for the School of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

While expertly versed in the anatomical approach to pain and injury, Rory finds that the full spectrum of Chinese medicine is the most thorough and effective method to alleviate the patterns of suffering we experience as people. In his practice Rory has spent over a decade treating chronic pain, seeking to understand the way the that people get locked into cyclical patterns of guarding and pain. In addition to his interest in pain, Rory has a strong interest chronic, or difficult to treat illness.
As of Fall of 2023, Rory is actively upgrading his license to add Chinese herbal medicine to scope of practice.
